Design Services
Conceptual Design & Budgeting
A successful landscape lighting project begins with solid interviewing, site assessment, budgeting and lighting concepts that leverage the existing assets on the project site in a way that helps clients appreciate their outdoor spaces and architecture in a unique and different way. The Lighthouse Design Studio’s expert team offers creative solutions, ensuring a remarkable nighttime experience for your project.

Design Development
Once the initial lighting concepts are approved, Lighthouse Design Studio documents the landscape and architectural lighting concepts into a detailed lighting plan. Our design documents will contain precise placement of fixtures, power & controls, and a product specification packet that is ready for integration into your plan sets or can be finalized by our team.
Our Design Development offerings include:
- Drafted layouts of spaces, objects, and luminaires with color-coded symbols.
- Lighting equipment, controls, and product data provided.
- Site and product photometry available as required.
- Low voltage wiring diagrams and power distribution and controls schematic.
Construction Documents
We offer comprehensive landscape lighting design sets, including drawings and specifications for bidding. Partners can use our markups for their own documents or enlist our team to create sets using their title blocks, tailoring our involvement to their needs.
Our Construction Documents include:
- Second look through plan details to validate accuracy.
- Finalized CAD drawings produced with your plan set title block (if required)
- Product Notes and Specification details on cut sheets
- Installation and site notes for bidding
VE Analysis & Recommendations
Often, lighting designs from internal team members or EE partners include premium products with hefty price tags. During budgeting, lighting often gets cut back in a “value engineering” phase to meet client budgets. However, there are superior product lines that perform well and offer budget flexibility. Our team stays updated on industry products, offering excellent alternatives to partners who want to maintain design quality without exceeding budgets.

Creating a solid architectural or outdoor living lighting design is just the beginning. Implementation, installation, and precise placement aiming are crucial to its success.
